MAKE THE MOST EDUCATED DECISION

Quigley's Cakes is looking forward to being your custom cake designer. Here are a few answers to questions you may have to help you make your decision.

Can you customize our cake to any design?

Yes! We are here to bring your cake to edible life! Creation is our passion and we're always excited to try something new. We can base your cake on photos, images on the internet, sketches, logos, artwork you admire...anywhere! We're excited to see what we will create together!

Do you offer cake tastings?

Yes! We offer cake tastings for wedding cake customers who are serving 100 or more guests. If you have a smaller order, you are welcome to purchase cupcakes to try our flavors.

What are groom's cakes and do you make them?

The groom's cake is usually decorated to represent the groom's hobbies, career, or interests with a fun, contemporary design. They are often the dessert after the rehearsal dinner or can be displayed with the wedding cake. With enough notice, Quigley's Cakes would be honored to supply both your groom's cake and wedding cake for your special day. Be sure to ask us about our groom's cakes when you contact us.

Will you deliver my cake?

Yes! We deliver wedding and custom cakes in and around the Capital District area free of charge. Deliveries outside the Capital District area will be subject to a delivery fee based on the location.

Can I pick up my cake myself?

Yes! Please keep in mind that you will need a flat surface for your cake to travel safely. The cake should NOT be placed on a car seat. A hatchback or SUV with a level surface is best. Bumps, fast breaking, and fast turns can and will cause damage to your cake so please drive accordingly. Quigley's Cakes cannot be responsible for any damage that occurs during your transport of your cake, or due to improper loading into your vehicle. We recommend clearing out the back of your car before pick up, and we will be happy to load your cake into your car onto a level surface for you.

Do you provide wedding cake toppers?

Your cake artist is also a sculptor and can custom design either an edible fondant or permanent polymer clay cake topper specific to your theme and imagination. Be sure to mention your interest during your consultation for a custom quote!
We do not provide standard cake toppers. If you choose to purchase a topper for your wedding cake, it must be received by us no less than five days before the event.

When should I order my cake?

For wedding cakes, we recommend at least a 10-week notice.
For special occasion cakes, we recommend a two-week notice.
For specialty cakes, we ask for a 10-day notice.
However, we may be able to provide custom cakes in less time depending on our workload. Please contact us for more information.

What do you charge for your cakes?

Every cake we create is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation. Therefore, the price is dependent upon not only the flavors and size, but also on the complexity of the overall design. Please contact us with the details of your dream cake for a price quote. Our minimum order is $50 for an 8" cake.

When do I pay for my cake?

Just as every cake is unique, the circumstances of payment are unique as well. What each cake has in common is the necessity of a signed cake contract and appropriate payment agreement.

We accept cash, check, money order, paypal, zelle, venmo and credit/debit cards as payment.
