HOW TO MAKE BUTTERCREAM ROSES
DATE: SESSION I: Apr 2
SESSION II: Apr 30

Course Description:
In this class you will learn how to make three different types of beautiful roses out of buttercream frosting: the rose bud, the ribbon rose and the petal rose. You‟ll also learn how to make accompanying leaves and how to successfully move your completed roses from the flower nail to you cake or cupcake. Roses are perfect for almost any cake and occasion. Please note on registration form which session you are signing up for.

Required Class Materials:

Medium to firm consistency decorators frosting (based on recipe from Feb 5th class) tinted your color of choice for the rose as well as a container tinted green for flowers, a flower nail and flower scissors (available at craft supply stores such as Michael's or JoAnn in the Wilton section). Optional: piping bags, couplers, tip #12 and tip #104, a cake, cupcakes or cookies on which to place your finished creations!

BASKET WEAVE EASTER BASKET CAKES

Course Description:
Learn how to decorate the sides of your cake in a basket weave. This versatile technique can be used year round with your theme depending solely on what you choose to “fill” your basket with. Great for Easter, Mother‟s Day, Birthdays, even Christmas. Everyone will have time to practice their techniques and designs before decorating their cakes.

Required Class Materials:

Please bring a a frosted cake of any size or shape, ready to be decorated, frosting made from recipe in Feb 5th class or your own recipe. If you have decorating bags or tips, please feel free to bring them! Please also bring a teaspoon, apron, wax paper, small plastic containers with lids, damp and dry kitchen towel and plastic bags for clean up. Please note that, if needed, decorating bags and tips will be provided for use during class, along with a hand out of how to make the frosting at home (if you did not obtain the recipe and technique during the Feb 5th class).Optional: Easter candy to 'fill' your baskets!!

SPRING CUPCAKES

Course Description:
Spring has sprung. Come learn how to decorate cupcakes sprinkled with delightful spring flowers, grassy lawns and twirling vines. And we'll think  "outside of the box‟ and get creative by "re-purposing‟ some holiday candy.

Required Class Materials:

Please bring 6 to 12 un-frosted cupcakes, any flavor, frosting as prepared from recipe obtained in Feb 5th class or your own recipe, any cake decorating bags or tips you may own and wish to learn to use, spatula, teaspoon, apron, toothpicks, wax paper, damp and dry kitchen towel and plastic bags for clean up. MOTHER’S DAY CAKE THEME
DATE: May 7

Course Description:
Recommended (but not required) pre-classes: Fill & Frost, Cake Decorating Essentials and Buttercream Rose. Whether you‟ve taken classes previously or this is your first time holding a piping bag this class is for you. We‟ll focus on creative cake designing with a Mother‟s Day Cake Theme. We will talk about esthetic design, shape and color balance, positive and negative space and ultimately let our creativity come to beautiful life in the form of a cake in honor of Mom.

Required Class Materials:

Please bring a frosted cake of any size or shape, ready to be decorated, frosting made from recipe in Feb 5th class or your own recipe.  If you have decorating bags or tips, please feel free to bring them! GUM PASTE FLOWERS
LENGTH: 3 Weeks, beg May 14

Course Description:
In this series of three classes you will learn how to make extremely realistic looking ivy, stephanotis, roses, star gazer lilies, gerba daisies, hydrangea, dogwood, calla lilies and orchids. Learn to create stunning sugar flowers and decorate like a professional wedding cake artist. We will be covering a lot of ground in a short time so be sure to be on time.
Required Class Materials:

Please bring Wilton Fondant in white and your choice of multi color pack, Wilton Gum Paste, Wilton 'Gum Paste Flowers Kit' of cutters, Wilton Gum Paste Wires & Tape set, Wilton 10 Piece Fondant Gum Paste Tool Kit, 9" Wilton Fondant roller, Wilton Roll & Cut Mat, Wilton Paint Brush Set, gallon size zip lock bags, a small container of crisco, a small container of powdered sugar, small container of corn starch, cheese cloth, small zip lock bags, large solid containers to use to take home your creations and allow them to dry. Your instructor will provide luster dust and food writer pens for finishing your creations. These supplies will be used in all three classes in this series! ( If you know someone else who is taking the course you are welcome to share the expense of these supplies, but keep in mind sharing supplies may slow down both of your progress in class.)

TIERED CAKES
DATE: June 4
TIME: 6:00 - 7:30 PM
COST: $20.00

Course Description:
You've seen them at weddings, on TV and even at spectacular birthday parties, now you can learn to make one yourself..a tiered cake. In this class you will learn first how to fondant cover your cake and then the importance of supports, both beneath and INSIDE your cakes. You will then learn to finish and decorate your cake to a stunning and professional result with borders and embellishments. Come join the fun!

Required Class Materials:
Please bring a 10" cake plate or  heavy cake support board, 8 inch filled and frosted cake on an 8 inch cake board, a 6 inch filled and frosted cake on a 6 inch cake board, large package of Wilton fondant in your choice of color, 20" Wilton Fondant Rolling Pin, Wilton Roll & Cut Mat, dusting pouch (2tbsp powdered sugar and 2 tbsp corn starch tied in a cheese cloth pouch), small container crisco. If you took the sugar flower classes please also bring your sugar flowers to decorate your final cake! Your instructor will provide bamboo doweling rods and cake supports.
